I provide divorce mediation services for all cities and towns in Hampshire County. With over 1,800 Massachusetts divorces successfully mediated, I am familiar with the Hampshire County Probate and Family Court, its judges, its procedures, and its filing requirements.
All sessions are conducted via Zoom — no need to travel to an office. I prepare every court document and mail them to you with signing instructions and a pre-addressed envelope to the correct courthouse. Most couples complete mediation in two sessions. For a detailed walkthrough, see our mediation service page.

Hampshire County is home to the Five College consortium — UMass Amherst, Amherst College, Smith College, Hampshire College, and Mount Holyoke College. Many residents are faculty, staff, or administrators with academic employment packages including sabbatical policies, tenure considerations, TIAA retirement accounts, and tuition benefits for children. These all factor into divorce negotiations and require a mediator who understands their value.
My office is in Amherst, in the heart of Hampshire County, and the Hampshire Probate and Family Court in Northampton is the court I file in most frequently. I have deep familiarity with the Hampshire County court’s judges, staff, and procedures — a genuine advantage for clients filing locally.
Hampshire County’s mix of college towns (Amherst, Northampton, Easthampton) and rural hilltowns (Worthington, Chesterfield, Goshen) means some residents live 45 minutes from the courthouse. Zoom mediation eliminates this drive while still providing the benefit of a local attorney mediator who knows the Hampshire County court inside and out.
If you and your spouse last lived together in any Hampshire County town and at least one of you still lives here, you must file in Hampshire County. For complete filing rules, see our where to file guide. For a step-by-step walkthrough, see our uncontested divorce filing guide. The filing fee is $215.
